Multiple Portal Loop Guide

Basically here's a cool idea I'd like to put forward: It's already well known that console commands can allow for various modifications of your source gaming experience. Since Portal is a source game this means that the portal engine (for PC) can be easily modified. This is basically a video example and guide for "newbies" to source. (Yes I know I'm not the first person to link multiple portal sets, hence this only being a guide). First you'll need to enable your console by going into the keyboard settings and clicking "advanced settings" checking off "enable developer console". The console code to enable many "cheat" codes is sv_Cheats 1 (0 for off, 1 for on— basic binary logic). The code mostly used in this video is: change_portalgun_linkage_id Follow change_portalgun_linkage_id with a number (the default is 0), like so: change_portalgun_linkage_id 1 change_portalgun_linkage_id 2 change_portalgun_linkage_id 3 change_portalgun_linkage_id 50 Basically the linkage ID stands for a PAIR of portals (that is TWO portals, an in and out). To link several portals together you'd line one "out" portal with another "in" portal. Thus you can have lots and lots of fun making linked portals, including links that go on and on forever. In this video I have a continuous loop of 46 (23 sets) of portals with the last portal linking back to being right above the first. The hardest parts to set up were the wall-to-wall jumps. Wall-to-floor is probably second easiest with ceiling-to-floor and ...
