The Rift: ballet action micro-short film, 720p HD version

Choreographer Donna Greenberg set this dance to Robert Schumanns brief and dramatic Davidsbundlertanze Op 6: Ungeduldig - only 45 seconds in length! The Rift features Järvi Raudsepp as the Fairy Maiden and Anton Pasquarella as The Wanderer. Fierce, over-the-top performances by Jessica Campbell, Mariline Goodhue and Lindsay Sutton as The Fates. All dancers are from Ballet Espressivo. The Rift stands alone as a complete work, though integrates smoothly with the larger story told in The Wanderer, already in post-production. The Wanderer is filmed in full 1080p High Definition. Sliding along inches from the floor on a dolly was Director of Photography Hal Swann, though one doesnt even _see_ the dolly work here. More acrobatics by steadicam operator and commercial director Paul Cormack, whose footage isnt even in this piece. Unable to stick to the lights-and-camera part, Hal Swann is also the editor of The Rift. Sparkly, vampy costumes by Donna Greenberg. Emphasizing wide eyes and sculpted cheekbones are make-up artists Amy Banman, Mariam omary and Christina Ruffino. Naxos won't let us be silly about this part: Music: Robert Schumann: Davidsbundlerstanze Op. 6: Ungeduldig. Benjamin Frith, piano.
